Terms

What we each agree to

Short, and in plain words. If anything here is unclear, ask before you book rather than after.

Who you are booking with

Theresa Wellness is a single-practitioner massage and wellness practice operating in California, USA. Where these terms say “we”, that means Wellness Within. Where they say “you”, that means the person named on the booking.

Using this website to book an appointment means you accept what is written here.

Booking an appointment

  • A time is only held once you finish the booking form. Nothing is reserved while you are still choosing.
  • You will get a confirmation by email. If it does not arrive, the booking may not have gone through — check with us rather than assuming.
  • Please book in your own name, with an email address and phone number you actually use. Reminders go to those.
  • Appointments are for one named person and are not transferable without asking us first.

Changing or cancelling

Every confirmation email contains a link that lets you reschedule or cancel yourself, up to 24 hours before the appointment. That is the same window the booking system enforces, so the link stops working at that point.

  • More than 24 hours ahead — change or cancel freely, at no cost.
  • Inside 24 hours — contact us directly. A single practitioner cannot usually refill a late cancellation, so we may ask for 50% of the treatment price.
  • Not arriving at all, without telling us, is charged in full.
  • Illness and emergencies happen. Tell us — we would far rather you rested than came in unwell, and we will not be difficult about it.

If we have to cancel on you, you will be offered the next available time or a full refund of anything already paid.

Arriving late

Treatments start and end at the booked time. If you arrive late, we will do what we can in the time that is left, and the full price still applies — the appointment after yours belongs to someone else.

Payment

Prices are shown on the services page and are confirmed when you book. Payment is taken at the appointment unless we have agreed otherwise. This website does not take card payments and never asks for card details — if a page claiming to be us asks for them, it is not us.

Your health, and what you need to tell us

Massage is not medical treatment, and nothing offered here diagnoses, treats or cures any condition. It does not replace advice from a doctor.

  • Tell us about injuries, surgery, pregnancy, medication, allergies and anything you would rather we avoided — before the treatment, not during it. There is a notes box on the booking form for exactly this.
  • If something changes between booking and arriving, say so. Some conditions mean a treatment should be adapted or postponed.
  • You can ask to change pressure, stop, or end the session at any point, for any reason, without explaining yourself.

Conduct

This is a professional therapeutic practice. Any suggestion otherwise ends the appointment immediately, is charged in full, and means we will not book you again. We may also decline or end a treatment where it would be unsafe or inappropriate to continue.

Messages we send you

Booking means we will email you a confirmation and appointment reminders. If you tick the box for text reminders, we will text you too, and you can stop those by replying STOP. Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link — using it will not affect an appointment you have already booked. What we store and why is set out on the privacy page.

This website

We try to keep availability, prices and descriptions accurate, but the site is provided as it is. Do not rely on it as your only record of an appointment — keep the confirmation email. We are not responsible for a booking that fails because of a problem with your device, your connection, or a service we depend on.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The terms that apply to your appointment are the ones published when you booked it, and the date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
